What is a contactless card?

Contactless cards act just as your normal debit and credit cards, only they are enabled to handle close-range “tap” transactions.

The cards still come with a chip as well as a magnetic stripe to ensure it to be versatile with all terminals, including ones that may not support contactless transactions just yet.

When you make a purchase using a contactless terminal, the card will make a one time code for the terminal to process the payment, ensuring maximum security and peace of mind.

The contactless symbol on your card or the payment terminal means that these devices are enabled to make or receive contactless payments.

Simply tap your Chaffey FCU contactless card to this symbol to make your payment.

What is a digital wallet?

A digital wallet is a secure way to carry your debit and credit card on your mobile device. It can be tied to your smart phone, smart watch or tablet. Your digital wallet allows you to make purchases as though your phone after your card has been connected.

Even if your current physical card is not contactless, you can load the card to your digital wallet!
